Our Mission: Students Toward Equitable Public Schools is a Montgomery County based, student-led coalition, aimed at promoting a culture of diverse, equitable learning so that all Montgomery County Public School students can reap the benefits of a world class education, regardless of where they live or how much money they make.
Here at STEPS we believe education is so important because it unlocks a lifetime of opportunity and success. Why shouldn't every child have an equal opportunity to get there?
DALBIN OSORIO ENDORSEMENT
In a field of incredibly talented candidates, Dalbin Osorio is the stand-out choice for the Montgomery County at-Large seat. Osorio is not only an outstanding champion for all students as a former teacher, but he also brings a fresh and much-needed perspective to the Board of Education. As a social worker both in and outside the school setting, former teacher, and child of an immigrant mother of lower economic standing, Osorio has an intimate understanding of the issues our most vulnerable students face. At the administrative level, Osorio has overseen programs in title IV schools and acted as a program manager on the Montgomery County Collaboration Council. The experience and perspective Osorio brings to the table is invaluable.
